Tether Gold Tokens XAUT0 (XAUT0) are commodity-backed digital tokens that represent ownership of physical gold. Each token corresponds to one troy fine ounce of gold held in allocated reserves. XAUT0 is issued by Tether Gold and provides token holders with onchain exposure to physical gold without reliance on traditional intermediaries. Ownership transfers and settlement occur onchain, while the underlying gold is securely stored in allocated vaults, primarily in Switzerland. Redemption for physical gold or equivalent value is available subject to issuer terms, minimum thresholds, and applicable fees.
